Male patient . Age : 59 years .Medical history : Hypertension ( well controlled )

Tooth : 2-4 / UR first premolar . History : Endo with PFM crown made around one and a half ago ( elsewhere)

Patient reported with swelling around crown. IOPA show large periapical around 2-4. I remove dthe PFM crown. See images below.

There also seems to be root fracture.

What is the prognosis of this tooth ? Should a retreatment be attempted ?

Hope to see a lot of comments and many thanks in advance for the same.

    Regards,

Prognosis seems questionable rather poor as it is a mid root fracture

Thank you very much. I have extracted the tooth. The palatal root was completely severed. There was no way the tooth could have been saved.
