Whether health talk is important in dental camps? It is very necessary to deliver health talk  on different awareness topics in the community.  Who Can deliver health talk? Interns, Post-Graduate students, Faculty, Subject expertise and Health care work workers. Health talk can be given on different topics like Dental caries and its prevention, Oral Cancer, Tobacco Cessation counseling, Various brushing techniques, Ill-effects of tobacco etc. Oral health is a broad term we cant limit it to particular level. What are the various techniques for delivering the health talk? Health talk can be given verbally in any language depending upon the community. The other modes for delivering the health talk are posters, videos, internet, PowerPoint presentation etc. Recently newer method has been introduce  i.e. Infographics which is  helpful for vulnerable population.

i would request dental surgeons to consider training their front office staff to do patient counselling.

If trained properly they will be able to do a much better job of patinet counselling and thsi will lead to inrease in patient footfall.
